Goucher Christian Fellowship

Goucher Christian Fellowship (GCF) is community with a mission. We're affiliated with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, a national para-church ministry whose vision is to see lives transformed, campuses renewed and world changers developed. GCF hosts regular Bible studies, prayer meetings, spiritual discussions, service projects, weekend retreats and social events. We welcome anyone who is interested in learning about God, exploring spirituality, or growing in faith. GCF members attend a variety of churches in the area and are glad to help individuals searching for a church home.

Goucher Hillel

Goucher Hillel is the central address for Jewish life at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡. Goucher Hillel empowers Jewish students to advance their own Jewish journeys and inspires all Goucher students to lead lives of meaning and impact. Through Goucher Hillel, students find Shabbat and holiday celebrations; ways to actively pursue social justice, Jewish learning & spiritual growth; opportunities to grow as leaders; dynamic connections with Jewish culture, the Jewish people, and Israel; kosher food in Mary Fisher dining hall; and a link to events and resources in the wider Baltimore Jewish community and around the globe. Goucher Hillel events are student-driven and open to all members of the Goucher community, regardless of faith or background.

Goucher Chabad

Chabad is a "home away from home" for the Jewish student at Goucher. The highlight of the week is the Shabbat dinner, which provides students with an intimate setting to eat, meet new friends, and celebrate Shabbat in a spiritually and intellectually stimulating ambience. Everything Chabad does at Goucher - from its weekly Torah classes in Kabbalah/Chassidic philosophy, Talmud, or the five Books of Moses, to social events and holiday programming - is designed to enable students to strengthen their Jewish identity. For more information, contact (410) 825-0779, e-mail chabad@goucher.edu, or visit .

Interfaith Council

The interfaith council is a group of students representing religious traditions and campus student groups that meets weekly for a simple homemade dinner and discussion. We seek to balance a variety of identities: religious tradition, student groups, gender identity, race, ethnicity, class year, major and more. The Interfaith Council seeks to bring together students of different religious and world view traditions, for multiple purposes:

  • Getting to know one another as individuals;
  • Reflecting on religious/spiritual/worldview needs on campus;
  • Programming to meet these various needs;
  • Advising the Chaplain and Office of Religious and Spiritual Life
  • Building an interfaith community that is both proactive and responsive
